ADA Disclosure

Seminole County Port Authority (SCOPA) is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website. SCOPA adheres to the guidelines of WCAG 2.0 and 2.1.

SCOPA complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

As new assistive technology becomes available for visitors with disabilities, we will make every effort to add those features to our website. Our goal is to ensure that visitors with disabilities have the same experience as visitors without disabilities.

We make every effort to ensure the site conforms to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines are the benchmark for ensuring visotors who use assistive technology users have the same experience as visitors who do not use this technology.

We acknowledge that these WCAG guidelines create a better user experience for everyone.

Images on the site will contain ‘alt tags’ with descriptions of the image, which aid users who listen to the content of the site by using a screen reader, rather than reading the site.

Major reports and other special publications that are made available on the web site are generally available in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). When posting PDF files, we will make every effort to follow the guidelines on “How to Create Accessible Adobe PDF Files”.

Fonts are set to be relative and adjustable by web browsers so that they can be changed to accommodate different needs.
